My daddy is getting older ~ I sang with a uh-oh melody. :/ Sigh, the strong man figure who I used to think when I was little that he's indestructible finally put his hands and presses his back with his palm behind and complains - back pain.

I'm heading off to the beach tomorrow again. The last time I was there, I had a cocktail. Wee!~ This is how I celebrate the year end.

Using the powerful resources around me, I glanced through the inventions, products and how most people outside the scope we see everyday earned more than a living and turn themselves into billionaires in a blink of an eye. 

Yes, I am bored and am trying to play a trick with my mind into thinking that I am making my day productive and doing something useful.

Anyway, have a look on some things I never knew and perhaps, you have known.

MIDOMI - You can search for the music you heard on radio or elsewhere with just a hum of the tune or sing the lyric you remember here. lol

NIGHTWAVE - Because I have a few insomniac friends, I find this product useful and they are recommended by doctors. Too bad, I don't think they are available in Malaysia. So, have a few businessman obtain the license to import them in and we can all sleep in peace xD

Voice Control Alarm Clock - Voice activation control is probably quite the common and I'm not surprised that they are created in the 21st Century but think of the usefulness they will bring, ( my room will look so cool with this talking machine  ^^,) especially for the blind :) 

Also not available in Malaysia yet :D 

Loneliness - This is an interesting article I came across. For a quick summary, here are a few points I like.

Have you ever felt cut off from other people, even if there are plenty around you? Maybe you felt all alone in the world, but you were making other people feel lonely without even realizing it.

 

New research suggests loneliness can actually travel from person to person, spreading up to three degrees of separation. That means if your neighbor's cousin's friend is lonely, you may have a good chance of being lonely, too.

Loneliness is defined as perceived social isolation, and it's not based on the number of people around you

"That's why the quality, not the quantity, of relationships is what's related to whether someone feels isolated or feels satisfied with their relationships"

This series of studies shows us that we don't just live in individual worlds, but are influenced often in unconscious ways of which we are not aware.

There are many more ideas I was captivated to learn, like this company, Sunrun based in the US. The Co-founder, Lynn Jurich got to meet President Obama for a round table discussion on Solar Energy etc. 

What amazed me more when I read their profile was the courses they took for their degree. Some (BA) History, business degrees, etc and where they end up is unimaginable.

No, I have made a false statement. I do have a reason for the above topic. One of them being that those weren't what I saw before I grew out of a vision so small. What I see was what laid in front of my eyes, Malaysia as it is. 

In short, you can do much more than you think.

Oh V.V another news, I thought I could spent my January with my elder brother but I found out that he's staying back in the States. Oh well :) TC bro, much love.

Random Dream

I still live in the idea that America ( the land of opportunity ) is as it is said to be. It feels like a place where dreams come true for the lucky few.

Fahrenheit212 - if my career path lays on a company which provides design and innovative services, I would be in my dream job.

Graduating with a degree from Parsons the New School for Design in New York City, walking with a cup of coffee in hand under the cold winter with a trench coat and my cashmere scarf catching the cold above my icy cold skin.

But of course, all those would be meaningless if succeed without my loved ones by my side. If I take that route, I might miss out on much more important events in life. What more when it doesn't seem to be as exciting as it looked when the picture is brought to our country V.V

Designing had been my interest but one I dare not pursue.

Luckily, I still have a growing passion :D I'll definitely finish my law degree and see where life brings me. 'till 2014, I shall walk on the journey of never ending education and acquire skills so I could make life richer n funner everyday in the midst of hardship.

Journey to become a lawyer is already starting to be tough. I have to wait 10 months to get a place in a local University. Shits V.V

Next update might be a post on my second new home - Indonesia :D and my plans for my long break so I could put them into action! Time is gold :O!!

Dear Wei Ling,

The students who registered in October 2010 will off for their summer break in end of May – September and will come back for the 2^nd year in 2011. Those registered in January 2011 will go for their summer break in mid July and will start their Year 2 in October 2011. The only difference with these 2 cohorts is the summer holidays.

If you join our October 2011 intake, your second year will be in October 2012 and final year in October 2013.

Those students starts in January 2011, second year will be in October 2011 and final year in October 2012.

CHRISTMAS GIFT

I'M ON 10 MONTHS HOLIDAY

"The last day of registration for Law programme with University of Reading (a twinning program with Taylors University College) is 22nd January 2010 and the A-Level results will be out on the 3 rd week of January ( 25th January 2010 ) which is after our closing date for registration. Therefore we can’t reserve a place for January 2010 intake but you may register with us for October 2010 intake" 

-.- STUPID COUNSELORS. STUPID TAYLORS WHICH HAS TWO INTAKES ONLY. STUPID. STUPID CIE WHO DECIDES TO ANNOUNCE THE RESULTS ON 25th. -.-

To comfort myself, I'm on job hunt! Maybe a few attachments with a few law firms or a part-time job. Now, I'll have to type CVs, go for interviews and make phone calls and send in e-mails. :'(

If only I have some reasons to choose HELP University College, Brickfields Asia College, KDU college or ATC over TAYLORS !! All four of them have 3 intakes in a year and low entry requirements and no IELTS needed until 2 years later. Hmm...thinking, still thinking..-.- Hmm, *runs off to mummy and tell her maybe I should switch institutions*

 

Till' October 2010....V.V I'm out of school.... :'(
